Bivvy Agafay is a local adventure company based in the Agafay Desert, about 30 km south of Marrakech. We specialise in authentic, small-group desert experiences — camel rides, quad biking, buggy rides, and luxury dinners under the stars — led by passionate local guides who know every dune.

The Agafay Desert is nestled roughly 30–40 minutes south of Marrakech, between the city and the High Atlas Mountains. Unlike the Sahara, it's a dramatic, rocky lunar landscape — perfect for a half-day or full-day trip without the long travel.

We offer pickup and drop-off from your hotel or riad in Marrakech — just provide your address when booking. You can also arrange your own transport; we'll share the exact meeting point coordinates on confirmation.

Absolutely! Our activities accommodate groups of various sizes — the Luxury Dinner under the Stars, for example, fits up to 24 guests. Contact us directly for custom group bookings, private events, and special rates.

Our main desert experiences are:

We also offer day trips to Essaouira and the Ourika Valley & Atlas Mountains from Marrakech.

No experience needed at all. Our guides provide a full safety briefing and basic training before you set off. Routes are designed to be fun and accessible for first-timers, while still thrilling for experienced riders.

Yes. Our camels are calm, well-cared-for animals and you'll always be accompanied by an experienced handler. You'll ride at a gentle walking pace — most first-timers end up absolutely loving it!

Many of our experiences are family-friendly. The camel ride and dinner under the stars are especially suitable for children of all ages. Minimum age and weight restrictions apply for quad and buggy rides — please confirm at the time of booking.

Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dusty. Light layers are ideal — evenings can be surprisingly cool, even in summer. Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended for motorised activities. A scarf or bandana for dust protection is a great addition.

The experience includes a beautifully set desert table with traditional Moroccan cuisine, ambient lantern lighting, and stunning Atlas Mountain views — all beneath an open, star-filled sky. Specific inclusions (drinks, entertainment, extras) are confirmed at the time of booking.

Yes — please mention any dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergies) at the time of booking. We'll do our best to accommodate you and ensure the meal is a highlight of your trip.

The dinner is timed around sunset for the best atmosphere — typically in the early evening. Exact times vary by season. We'll confirm your start time when your booking is finalised.

Absolutely — it's one of our most popular experiences for couples, anniversaries, and birthdays. Let us know at booking if you'd like us to add a personal touch (e.g. rose petals, a dedication card, or a special dessert).

Transport can be included or arranged as an add-on depending on your package. Please confirm when booking and provide your hotel or riad address — we offer pickups across Marrakech.

Signal can be limited in parts of the desert. We recommend downloading offline maps beforehand if needed. Don't worry — our guides handle all navigation and we'll have your full itinerary confirmed before departure.

The Agafay Desert enjoys sunshine for most of the year. In the rare case of severe weather, we'll contact you as early as possible to reschedule or adjust your itinerary at no extra cost.

We offer both. Private tours are available for couples, families, and groups. Small shared-group tours are also available for solo travelers or those who'd like to meet fellow adventurers. Groups are always kept small for a personal experience.
